16. Leaving Portland

Bridges Portland spreads from the banks of the Columbia and Willamette Rivers and is linked by bridges, each with a story.  The city has many new and architecturally interesting buildings and has preserved earlier structures.  Downtown streets feature numerous neon signs from the middle decades of the Twentieth Century. It's a cool place.
