The ladies on the cover of The Flapper magazine look a lot like women today. Given the publication date, however, and their apparent ages in the images, it's likely all were born in the 1800s or early 1900s. It's strange to think of them driving around in Ford Model Ts or other early automobiles and making calls using candlestick telephones. Moreover, the reality is, probably all have been dead for decades, having lived, I hope, long and well, without becoming "old fogies" themselves. |
